On the sequel to the successful previous album, released in 2020, another group of young British musicians uses modern means to tackle the famous Blue Note catalogue. The project sees itself as a bridge between the tradition and future of jazz. Internationally known artists and not-yet-so-well-known newcomers from the thriving London jazz, R'n'B, Afrobeat, hip-hop, grime and trap scene have returned to the sound archives of the legendary label, looking for pearls that they could either give a contemporary interpretation or even an all-round makeover.
