Auf dem zweiten Teil des erfolgreichen 2020 erschienenen Vorgängeralbums, rückt eine weitere Garde junger britischer Musiker mit modernen Mitteln dem berühmten Blue-Note-Katalog auf den Leib. Das Projekt versteht sich als Brückenschlag zwischen der Tradition und Zukunft des Jazz. International bekannte Künstler und noch nicht ganz so namhafte Newcomer der florierenden Londoner Jazz-, R’n’B-, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop-, Grime- und Trap-Szene haben sich dafür wieder in die Klangarchive des legendären Labels begeben und dort nach Perlen gesucht, denen sie entweder eine zeitgenössische Interpretation oder gar gleich eine Rundumerneuerung verpassen konnten.
