Celebrating the 92nd birthday of the recently deceased music legend: eight of Quincy's most famous albums for the first time as audiophile SHM CDs (original Japanese imports with Obi strips). SHM CDs use a special pressing material that ensures improved transparency and sound definition.

Disco was king in 1978, and Quincy Jones bows low with the ebullient dance hit “Stuff Like That”. His 1978 album “Sounds...and Stuff Like That!!” has its healthy quota of elegantly produced soul ballads while Quincy still treats listeners to something fresh and memorable within the jazz sphere with a gorgeous chart of Herbie Hancock's “Tell Me a Bedtime Story”, with Hancock himself on electric piano. The album sparkles thanks to a thrilling row of guest vocalists: Nick Ashford, Valerie Simpson, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, Gwen Guthrie, and Luther Vandross, plus a rhythm section featuring Steve Gadd, Michael Boddicker, and Wah Wah Watson, a horn section including Snooky Young, Jimmy Cleveland, Hubert Laws, Jerome Richardson and Buddy Collette, plus killer solos from Tom Scott, Michael Brecker and George Young.
