The flautist’s classic 1973 jazz/funk album is her her third and best-known Blue Note record. Produced by the Mizell Brothers, best known for their work on Donald Byrd’s classic Black Byrd. Features all-time-classic jazz/funk pieces such as ‘Jasper Country Man’ and ‘Harlem River Drive’. A gorgeous mash-up of Humphrey’s breezy flute and the Mizells’ trademark grooves.
Humphrey and the Mizells collaborated further on subsequent BN albums Fancy Dancer and Satin Doll.
