No musician made as many positive headlines for jazz at the turn of the millennium as Diana Krall. Photos of her conquered not only the covers of the jazz press, but also of high-circulation news, glossy and women's magazines. In concert, she effortlessly filled large arenas such as the Madison Square Garden in New York or the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Three of her first ten albums won Grammy awards, along with dozens of other prizes worldwide.

Then, in 2007, Krall released a first compilation of twelve highlights from the albums she had released to that point on the labels GRP, Impulse and Verve.. It is a musical Krall compendium that does justice to both facets of the artist: the pianist as well as the singer. Fans will be especially pleased: As a bonus, there are three previously unreleased recordings of the two standards "You Go To My Head" and "Only The Lonely" as well as Tom Waits' dreamlike ballad "The Heart Of Saturday Night".
