Tank And The Bangas The Heart, The Mind, The Soul
An uncommonly musical spoken word album is “The Heart, The Mind, The Soul” by the three-time Grammy-nominated Tank and the Bangas. The album brings together three previously released EPs on which the band and their charismatic frontwoman Tank collaborated with prominent producers: “The Heart” (feat. Jill Scott and others) with James Poyser (The Roots, Erykah Badu, Common), “The Mind” (feat. Yaya Bey and others) with Iman Omari (Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller) and “The Soul” (feat. Samara Joy and others) with Robert Glasper (H.E.R., Brandee Younger). Spoken word has rarely been as cool as at this gathering of musical masterminds.
