Samara Joy, who has just won two Grammys, is now emulating great jazz role models like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong by releasing atmospheric Christmas songs with an extra pinch of jazz. “A Joyful Holiday” is an EP with six tracks, two Christmas singles that were successfully released digitally last year and four new tracks, including “The Christmas Song,” a duet between Samara and her father, gospel singer Antonio McLendon.
