Recorded in the wee hours of Good Friday 1960, this impromptu Pacific Jazz session captured the easygoing alchemy of The Modest Jazz Trio featuring Jim Hall on guitar, Red Mitchellon piano, and Red Kelly on bass. It would be the trio’s sole album, a sublimely swinging set highlighted by the title track.
BLUE NOTE TONE POET EDITION: Stereo, produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analogue master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a single sleeve with deluxe tip-on jacket.
