CUTTING ENGINEER NOTES
You will notice that the track “Lost Someone” is the last of Side A as well as the first of Side B. This nearly 11-minute track is actually cut into two pieces, and there is not even a fade-out and fade-in to make the transition smoother.

Please note that this is just how it is on the original master tape for this record. We don’t know the reason for this, maybe the tape ran out during the original recording and the engineer had to put on a new reel in the middle of the song. Or someone decided in post-production to split the track in order to achieve a more even distribution of playing time per side. Maybe this was deemed a better solution than re-arranging track order, disturbing the dramatic structure of the live event.

As always, with Mastercut you get the authentic experience of the original master tape, even if this means having to get out of your chair and turn the record over in the middle of an epic piece of music…!
