"The Composer of Desafinado, Plays," recorded in 1963, is not only a timeless, iconic masterpiece of bossa nova, but also an evergreen of this overwhelmingly beautiful, melancholic music. Antonio Carlos Jobim, one of the founders of bossa nova, recorded his then-young classics "Corcovado," "The Girl from Ipanema," "Agua de Beber," and others for his Verve debut. He can be heard on guitar and piano, while arranger Claus Ogerman adds subtle orchestral nuances.

Verve Vault Series: Cut and mastered by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound from the original analog tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal. Gatefold sleeve with iconic original artwork.
