THE jazz classic! Miles Davis' “Birth Of The Cool” from 1957 really needs no introduction. The album marks Davis' transition from bebop to cool jazz and was his first collaboration with master arranger Gil Evans.
This edition contains the 12 tracks from the original album session from 1949 and 1950 as well as the live recording of a radio broadcast recorded during Miles' two-week stay at the Royal Roost in New York City in September 1948.
Packaging: 2 × 180g vinyl, cut from the original singles masters, sturdy tip-on gatefold sleeve, padded inner sleeves, glued-in 28-page booklet with rare photos and a new essay by respected jazz author Ashley Kahn.
