Pianist & composer Gerald Clayton returns with his 3rd Blue Note album, his most unusual and instantly captivating to date. "Ones & Twos" features Clayton not only on piano but also Rhodes, organ, toy piano and synthesizers, his compositions are at the same time abstract and catchy, shimmering and groovy, acoustic and electrified. Also heard are vibraphonist Joel Ross, flutist Elena Pinderhughes, trumpeter Marquis Hill and drummer Kendrick Scott with post-production work by Kassa Overall. Clayton has already performed and recorded with artists like Roy Hargrove, Diana Krall, Ambrose Akinmusire, Charles Lloyd and Ravi Coltrane, this new album is another impressive evidence of his personality and versality.
